These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the SalahLive mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”) operated by SalahLive (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SalahLive app or visiting our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation (such as a masjid committee), you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Services Offered

SalahLive provides the following services:

• Accurate daily prayer times (Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) based on your location.
• Live Jamaat timings from registered masjids.
• Azan schedules and prayer reminders.
• Nearby mosque discovery with distance and directions.
• Ramadan Sehri and Iftar timetables.
• Friday Jummah prayer schedules.
• Qibla direction via compass and augmented reality.
• Interactive Tasbih (digital bead counter).
• Masjid and community announcements.
• Administrator tools for masjid committees and organisations.

We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable law.
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application.
• Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its servers.
• Not use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract data without our written permission.
• Not impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with any masjid.
• Not transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, threatening, or obscene.
• Provide accurate information when registering a masjid or creating an account.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your administrator credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Masjid Information Accuracy

Prayer times and Jamaat schedules listed on SalahLive are submitted and managed by individual masjid committees or verified administrators. While we strive to maintain accuracy, SalahLive:

• Does not independently verify the accuracy of every prayer time or Jamaat schedule submitted.
• Is not responsible for outdated, missing, or incorrect information entered by masjid administrators.
• Strongly encourages users to confirm Jamaat times directly with their local masjid, especially before attending.

Masjid committees are responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the information they submit. If you notice incorrect information, please contact us or the masjid committee directly.

5. Prayer Time Disclaimer

Prayer times on SalahLive are calculated using established astronomical algorithms based on your geographic location. These calculations are approximations and may vary slightly from times announced by your local masjid or Islamic authority due to:

• Local moon-sighting decisions and regional adjustments.
• Differences in calculation methods (e.g., Hanafi vs. Shafi method for Asr).
• Altitude, terrain, and atmospheric conditions at your location.
• Manual overrides applied by masjid administrators.

SalahLive accepts no liability for missed prayers arising from reliance on calculated times. We strongly recommend verifying times with your local masjid, particularly for Fajr and Maghrib.

6. Ramadan Timing Disclaimer

Sehri (Suhoor) end times and Iftar times during Ramadan are provided as a guide based on city-level calculations or data submitted by regional Islamic authorities. Users should note:

• Sehri times displayed should be treated as cautious estimates. We recommend stopping Sehri several minutes before the displayed time as a precaution.
• Iftar times are calculated based on sunset and may differ from times announced by local moon-sighting committees.
• Regional Ramadan start and end dates are determined by local moon-sighting decisions and may differ from country to country.

SalahLive accepts no responsibility for fasting being invalidated due to reliance on our displayed timings. Always cross-check with your local masjid or Islamic authority.

7. User Generated Content

Masjid administrators and authorised users may submit content to the platform, including prayer schedules, announcements, and masjid information. By submitting content, you:

• Confirm that you are authorised to submit the content on behalf of the masjid or organisation.
• Grant SalahLive a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and process the content within the Service.
• Confirm the content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, our community standards, or applicable law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, logos, and software comprising the SalahLive Service are the intellectual property of SalahLive or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

The SalahLive name, logo, and all associated trade marks are the property of SalahLive. Use of these marks without our express written permission is prohibited.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SalahLive and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
• Missed prayers, fasting invalidations, or religious obligations arising from reliance on prayer times or Ramadan timings.
• Data loss, service interruptions, or inaccuracies in masjid information.
• Any loss arising from third-party service failures (Google Maps, Firebase, AdMob, etc.).

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for accessing the Service in the twelve months prior to the claim.

10. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms or our policies.
• Submission of false, misleading, or malicious content.
• Activity that endangers the Service, other users, or third parties.
• Non-payment of applicable fees (for administrator subscriptions).
• Extended periods of inactivity.

11. Advertisement Policy

SalahLive may display advertisements from local Islamic businesses and third-party networks. Advertisements:

• Are reviewed to ensure they are appropriate for a Muslim community audience and do not promote prohibited content (interest-based finance, alcohol, gambling, etc.).
• May be targeted based on your geographic location (city/state) but are never targeted based on individually identifiable data.
• From third-party networks (e.g., Google AdMob) are governed by the respective network’s policies.

SalahLive does not endorse any advertised product or service. All transactions between you and advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

12. External Links

The Service may contain links to external websites or resources not operated by SalahLive. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, or availability of external sites. Inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by SalahLive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. Users accessing the Service from other jurisdictions are responsible for compliance with local laws.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page, with the “Effective Date” updated accordingly. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the app or by email (where provided). We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
