Learn all six fundamental declarations of faith, testimony, glorification, oneness, seeking forgiveness, and rejection of disbelief in Islam with authentic Arabic text, transliteration, and multi-lingual translations.
Understanding the 6 Kalimas
The 6 Kalimas form the educational foundation taught to Muslims across generations. They express the foundational tenets of Islamic belief: affirming Tawheed (monotheism), bearing witness to the prophethood of Muhammad (ﷺ), praising Allah's supreme majesty, seeking divine forgiveness, and explicitly rejecting kufr (disbelief) and shirk. All Kalima texts, transliterations, and translations on Salah Live are referenced from authentic educational publications by Dawat-e-Islami.
Pehla Kalima
Kalima Tayyab
There is no deity but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
Dusra Kalima
Kalima Shahadat
I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, Alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.
Teesra Kalima
Kalima Tamjeed
Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no deity but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. And there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Exalted, the Magnificent.
Chautha Kalima
Kalima Tauheed
There is no deity but Allah, Alone, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is Ever-Living, never dies. Possessor of Majesty and Honor. In His Hand is all good, and He has power over all things.
Panchwa Kalima
Kalima Astaghfar
I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, for every sin I committed knowingly or unknowingly, secretly or openly, and I turn to Him in repentance from the sin that I know and from the sin that I do not know. Indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen, the Coverer of faults, and the Forgiver of sins, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Exalted, the Magnificent.
Chhatwa Kalima
Kalima Radd-e-Kufr
O Allah! I seek protection in You from associating anything with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do not know. I repent from it and disassociate myself from disbelief, polytheism, falsehood, backbiting, innovation, tale-bearing, lewdness, calumny, and all sins. I submit [to You] and I say: There is no deity but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
