📖 Что такое Курбан (Удхия)?

Qurbani (also known as Udhiya) is the ritual sacrifice of a specified animal performed during the days of Eid al-Adha (10th, 11th, and 12th of Dhul Hijjah) to seek the proximity and pleasure of Allah Almighty. It commemorates the legendary devotion and sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) and Prophet Ismail (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ).

Who is Qurbani Wajib Upon?

  • Must be a Muslim.
  • Must be sane and mature (Baligh).
  • Must be Muqeem (resident, not a Shar'i traveler/Musafir).
  • Must possess qualifying wealth equal to or exceeding the Nisab threshold (52.5 Tolas / 612.36g Silver) on the days of Qurbani, over and above basic essential needs (Hajat-e-Asliyyah).

🐄 Qurbani Animal Requirements & Shares

  • Goat / Sheep / Ram: Must be at least 1 year old (1 share per animal).
  • Cow / Buffalo: Must be at least 2 years old (Up to 7 shares per animal).
  • Camel: Must be at least 5 years old (Up to 7 shares per animal).
  • The animal must be completely healthy, free from severe blindness, lameness, or lost ears/horns.

Distribution of Meat & Timing Rulings

According to Hanafi jurisprudence and Fatawa Razawiyyah, Qurbani must be performed after the Eid al-Adha Salah is completed in city areas. The valid window spans from 10th Dhul Hijjah after Eid prayer until sunset on 12th Dhul Hijjah.

Meat Distribution: It is recommended (Mustahabb) to divide the sacrificial meat into 3 equal portions: 1/3 for oneself/family, 1/3 for relatives and neighbors, and 1/3 for the poor and needy.
