Surah Al-Ikhlas

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ﴿١﴾

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ ﴿٢﴾

Allah, the Eternal Refuge

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ ﴿٣﴾

He neither begets nor is born

وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ ﴿٤﴾

Nor is there to Him any equivalent

Surah Al-Ikhlas defines the pure essence of Monotheism (Tawheed). Revealed in response to polytheists asking for a description of Allah, it affirms that Allah is One (Ahad), Eternal & Self-Sufficient (As-Samad), neither begetting nor begotten, and without equal.
