Surah Al-Kafirun
سورة الكافرون
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ ﴿١﴾
Say, "O disbelievers
لَآ أَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ ﴿٢﴾
I do not worship what you worship
وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ ﴿٣﴾
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship
وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٞ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡ ﴿٤﴾
Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship
وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ ﴿٥﴾
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship
لَكُمۡ دِينُكُمۡ وَلِيَ دِينِ ﴿٦﴾
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion
About Surah Al-Kafirun
Surah Al-Kafirun was revealed when leaders of Quraysh offered a compromise to worship Allah for one year and their idols the next. This Surah established absolute clarity, rejecting religious compromise and concluding with the famous statement of religious distinction.
