Episode 01 — The Celestial Dream, The Well of Trial, and Preservation of Chastity
"Follow young Yusuf's dream of eleven stars, his brothers' jealousy, his rescue from the well, and his steadfast chastity in Egypt."
In Surah Yusuf, Allah Almighty describes the account of Prophet Yusuf (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) as Ahsan al-Qasas — 'The Best of Stories'.
As a young boy in Canaan, Yusuf saw a miraculous dream: eleven stars, the sun, and the moon prostrating before him. His father, Prophet Yaqub (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ), recognized his high spiritual destiny and advised him not to relate the dream to his brothers lest jealousy take root.
Out of envy, his brothers plotted against him, cast young Yusuf into a deep well, and brought back his shirt stained with false blood, telling their grieving father that a wolf had devoured him. Prophet Yaqub exercised beautiful patience (Sabrun Jameel).
A passing merchant caravan rescued Yusuf from the well and sold him in Makkah/Egypt to Aziz (the Governor). In the palace of Aziz, as Yusuf reached full manhood, he was blessed with extraordinary physical beauty and spiritual light.
When tested with severe temptation by Zulaikha, Yusuf sought refuge in Allah immediately, declaring: "Allah forbid! Indeed, he is my master who has made good my residence. Indeed, wrongdoers will not succeed." (Surah Yusuf 12:23). Preferring prison over sin, Yusuf chose imprisonment to preserve his purity and devotion to Allah Almighty.
