Episode 01 — The Journey to Majma' al-Bahrayn
"Learn how Prophet Musa set out accompanied by Yusha ibn Nun to seek Khidr at the junction of the two seas to learn special divine wisdom."
In Sahih al-Bukhari, it is related that Prophet Musa (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) delivered a sermon to the Children of Israel. He was asked: "Who among people is the most knowledgeable?" Prophet Musa responded based on his prophet-hood and divine revelation: "I am."
Allah Almighty gently instructed Musa that there existed a servant of Allah at the junction of the two seas (Majma' al-Bahrayn) who possessed a unique dimension of divine knowledge (Ilm al-Ladunni). Desiring to learn, Prophet Musa immediately resolved to travel: "I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or continue traveling for ages." (Surah Al-Kahf 18:60).
Accompanied by his young companion Yusha ibn Nun, Musa carried a salted fish in a basket as a sign. Where the fish slipped into the sea, there they would find the righteous servant.
When they rested upon a rock, the fish miraculously came alive, slipped from the basket, and made its way into the sea carving a tunnel. Upon realizing they had passed the spot, they retraced their steps and met Khidr (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ), wrapped in a garment upon a green carpet over the water. Musa humbly asked: "May I follow you so that you teach me of what you have been taught of sound judgement?"
